The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested 36 individuals involved in the NEET-UG paper leak case. This includes alleged masterminds, “solvers,” and those who arranged logistics for the operation. The arrests follow extensive investigations and searches conducted across the country.
The CBI’s investigations included searches at 33 locations nationwide. These actions led to the arrest of 36 people, including 15 who had been previously arrested by the Bihar Police when they were handling the case. The suspects include medical students and other individuals who played various roles in the conspiracy.
The “solvers” in this case were MBBS students from reputed colleges. These students were brought to Hazaribagh specifically to solve the leaked exam papers. The accused Pankaj Kumar, also known as Aditya, was identified as one of the main conspirators. Aditya, a 2017-batch civil engineer from the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, allegedly entered the strong room of the Oasis School in Hazaribagh, where the paper leak occurred.
The conspiracy involved several layers of operations. A group of accused individuals arranged accommodations for the candidates, while another set of people were responsible for transporting the candidates. The solved question papers were then sent to various locations, including two in Hazaribagh and two in Patna.
Among those arrested are the principal of Oasis School, Ehsanul Haque, and the Centre Superintendent, Imtiyaz Alam. The CBI has identified and arrested most of the key suspects, including those who were directly involved in solving and distributing the leaked papers. Efforts are ongoing to trace and take necessary actions against the candidates who received the solved question papers.
