External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has introduced a common yoga protocol in the Lao language. This initiative was developed by the Art of Living Chapter in Vientiane. On Saturday, Jaishankar posted on X, expressing his happiness about the launch. He commended the efforts of the Lao community and the Art of Living organization for making yoga more accessible, embodying the true spirit of the International Day of Yoga.

Meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister
On the sidelines of the ASEAN meetings in Vientiane, Jaishankar met with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan. They discussed various aspects of the bilateral relationship between India and Turkey. Jaishankar shared on X that they exchanged views on several regional and global issues, strengthening the dialogue between the two nations.
Jaishankar also had a significant meeting with the Prime Minister of Laos, Sonexay Siphandone. During this meeting, he raised concerns about the trafficking of Indian nationals through cyber scam centers. He appreciated the ongoing cooperation from the Lao government in rescuing and providing relief to the affected Indian citizens. This issue was also discussed with the Foreign Ministers of Cambodia and Thailand to seek broader regional support.

Engagements with ASEAN Leaders
In addition to these key meetings, Jaishankar engaged with several other leaders on the sidelines of the ASEAN events. He met with his counterparts from South Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and the European Union. These discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties and addressing common regional and global challenges.
Jaishankar’s engagements at the ASEAN meetings highlight India’s commitment to fostering strong international relationships and addressing critical issues affecting Indian nationals abroad.
