Ukraine’s military reported on Monday that it successfully intercepted and destroyed all 24 drones launched by Russia during overnight attacks. The drones were aimed at various regions across the country, including Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Poltava, Sumy, and Vinnytsia.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, each drone was targeted and taken down before it could cause any further damage. Despite the successful interception, the attacks resulted in some harm. Serhiy Lysak, the governor of Dnipropetrovsk, announced on Telegram that the drone strikes caused injuries to two people and resulted in damage to residential homes and farm buildings in the area.
In Kharkiv, officials reported that the Russian drones caused damage to important civilian infrastructure. The attacks led to significant disruptions and posed a threat to the city’s operations.
Across the border in Russia’s Belgorod region, a Ukrainian counterattack also occurred. On Monday, officials in Belgorod stated that a Ukrainian attack resulted in one person being injured and four apartment buildings in the town of Shebekino being damaged.

The governor of Belgorod, Vyacheslav Gladkov, shared details on Telegram, noting that Ukrainian drones also targeted the village of Ilek-Penkovka. The attacks caused fires in two houses and damaged another building.
Both sides continue to experience setbacks and damage due to the ongoing conflict, with both Ukrainian and Russian regions bearing the brunt of the confrontations.
