#Bangladesh Hindus Attacked & Temples Burnt: Hindus Become Soft Targets in Dhaka
Following Bangladesh’s former PM Sheikh Hasina’s sudden and shocking resignation, Bangladesh has plunged into chaos as Islamist extremists took advantage of the political turmoil to unleash a wave of terror and violence against the Hindu community. Various media reports are pouring in from across the nation that Islamist mobs are attacking Hindu homes and temples, burning them to the ground, and abducting women in a horrific descent into anarchy. Simultaneously, the India-Bangladesh border, which is approximately 4,096 km long, is also on high alert to prevent any untoward incidents that could hamper India's law and order situation. The extremely chaotic and violent situation in Bangladesh also poses challenges to India’s foreign policy as under Hasina’s rule Delhi-Dhaka ties flourished, however now the hurried and abrupt exit of Hasina has not only wrong-footed the Indian government but has also posed one of the toughest challenges for India’s policies concerning the neighboring nation.
