The Border Security Force (BSF), responsible for guarding the 4,096 km-long border between India and Bangladesh, has been put on high alert. The BSF has increased its patrols and vigilance, especially in the wake of warnings from security agencies that more than 1,200 prisoners, including terrorists, have escaped from jails in Bangladesh. These individuals may attempt to cross into India, posing a significant security threat.
Advisory for Border Residents
In light of the increased security measures, the BSF has issued advisories to residents living near the border. Locals have been urged to avoid unnecessary movement in the border areas, particularly during nighttime, to minimize the risk of encounters with any infiltrators. Additionally, shops along the border have been instructed to close by 9 PM as a precautionary measure.
