“On behalf of the United States of America, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the people of India as they mark the anniversary of their independence on August 15,” stated Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
On India’s Independence Day, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken also noted the swift expansion of the relationship between the two nations. “On this significant occasion, we honor the vibrant and diverse history of the Indian people and look forward to the promising future of U.S.-Indian relations. Our broad global and strategic partnership is anchored in the strong connections between our peoples and economies, and is built upon our mutual dedication to democracy, freedom, and human dignity,” said Antony Blinken.
