The whole country is celebrating Shri Krishna Janmashtami today. Everyone is immersed in the devotion of Lord Krishna. From Arunachal to Gujarat and from Jammu-Kashmir to Kanyakumari, all the devotees are busy preparing for Nandlal’s birthday.

Lord Krishna not only killed the tyrannical King Kansa but also taught the world about religion. He proved through his life that man can attain God by following the path of religion. Every word of the Gita message given by him to Arjun is true and meaningful and even after so many years, it has the power to show man the path of religion and ethics.

The answer to all the questions of the world is in the Gita. It is true that Shri Krishna is the complete incarnation. Everything else is false. He is Yogeshwar. He is the Raas Nayak. He is the Murli Samrat. He is the father of Gita. His worship is a celebration of the mind. When a devotee surrenders before him, he becomes a ‘Gopi’.

Janmashtami provides the world with an opportunity to attain the power of devotion and surrender to Shri Krishna. Unprecedented preparations have been made in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, the birthplace of Lord Krishna.

There is a lot of excitement about Shri Krishna Janmashtami in the national capital Delhi as well. A crowd of devotees gathered to visit Shri Lakshmi Narayan temple. A large number of devotees have gathered at the ISKCON temple in East of Kailash.
