Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off three Vande Bharat trains through video conferencing at 12.30 pm today. The state-of-the-art Vande Bharat Express will improve connectivity on three routes Meerut-Lucknow, Madurai-Bengaluru and Chennai-Nagarcoil. This information has been given in a press information office (PIB) of the Government of India on the eve of the Prime Minister’s program.
According to the media reports, these Vande Bharat trains will reduce travel time as compared to the currently running high-speed trains. Meerut City-Lucknow Vande Bharat will save about one hour, Chennai Egmore-Nagarcoil Vande Bharat will save two hours and Madurai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat will save one and a half hours in travel time.
These new Vande Bharat trains will provide world-class service to the people of the region to travel with speed and convenience and will fulfill the long-standing demand of the people of three states – Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The introduction of these Vande Bharat Express trains will usher in a new standard of rail service to meet the needs of regular travellers, professionals, business and student community.
Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the two-day National Conference of District Judiciary in New Delhi today. The ceremony is being organized by the Supreme Court. According to the statement of the apex court, Prime Minister Modi will also release a coin and postage stamp to commemorate the completion of 75 years of the establishment of the Supreme Court.
Minister of State for Law and Justice (Independent Charge) Arjun Ram Meghwal and other dignitaries will also attend the inaugural ceremony. President Draupadi Murmu will deliver the closing speech on September 1 and will also unveil the flag and logo of the Supreme Court.
It has been told that the ‘National Conference on District Judiciary’ under the guidance of the Chief Justice of India will include six sessions to be held over two days. More than 800 participants from the district judiciary of all states and union territories will participate in this national level conference. The session on ‘Infrastructure and Human Resources’ aims to explore ways to enhance infrastructure and human capital for the district judiciary. A session on ‘Case Management’ will be held on the second day of the event.
