A case of encroachment of forest land has come to light in Odisha, a progressive state of eastern India, and the land is not just 1 or 2 inches but a full 100 acres of land. After encroachment, there is also an allegation of building Islam Nagar on this land.
This whole matter is of an area called Motu in Malkangiri district where local BJP leaders have alleged that Islam Nagar was built by illegally encroaching about 100 acres of forest land. The name of a person named Mohammad Masoom Khan is coming to the fore in this whole episode.
It is being told that during the previous Biju Janata Dal government, he illegally encroached the forest land by making a deal. After the change of government, the truth of this matter is coming out. At the same time, Masoom Khan is said to have deep relations with former BJD MP Pradeep Majhi.
This person has been participating in many political programs with the former MP. Some photos of both of them have also gone viral on the Internet. BJP leaders have called this matter a case of land jihad and have claimed that BJD leaders have a full hand in it. BJP leaders say that it is not possible to occupy 100 acres of forest land, cut trees and construct a building without political patronage.
They also alleged that due to political patronage, the local administration also remained silent on this. BJP leaders have demanded a high-level investigation into this matter and strict action against the culprits. After this matter came to light in the media, the forest department has ordered an investigation into it. The forest department official said that the local ranger has been asked to investigate it and submit the report soon. Further action will be taken after the report comes.
