On Monday, a team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) reached Gagangir in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district where six labourers and a doctor were killed in a major terror attack last evening. A team of the NIA, led by a senior officer, reached the site of the attack today, officials said.
They said the NIA will investigate all possible angles behind the attack, which Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has described as a cowardly act. The militants attacked when the labourers and other workers were returning to their camp in Gund in Ganderbal late in the evening.
Seven workers, including a doctor, have died in a major terrorist attack in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir. Five other people have been injured in the attack, who are being treated at SKIMS Srinagar and Sub District Hospital.
The terrorist organization The Resistance Front (TRF) has claimed responsibility for the attack which is a branch of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. Police officials said about the terrorsist attack that the attackers opened indiscriminate fire on a camp of laborers on Sunday night.
Workers of a company engaged in the construction of Z-Morh tunnel in Gagangir on Srinagar-Leh National Highway were staying in this camp. The attack is being described as a target killing. Officials said that two laborers died on the spot in the attack, while five others including a doctor died later.
