Today was a historic occasion in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, when the President of the country Droupadi Murmu attended the second convocation of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur.
In this ceremony, she honored 10 meritorious students by giving them gold medals and 514 students by giving them degrees. Governor Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal were also present with her in the convocation ceremony.

On this occasion, the statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari was presented to the President. As per the pre-scheduled programs, President Murmu will attend the 14th convocation of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur as the chief guest at 2:45 pm.
By 4:30 pm, the President will give degrees to the students in the convocation ceremony. President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Sarguja block at Purkhauti Muktangan premises in Nava Raipur at 6 pm and will release the 9th installment amount to 70 lakh women under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana of the Chhattisgarh government and will talk to the beneficiaries of this scheme.
President Droupadi Murmu will visit the Jagannath temple in Raipur tomorrow on October 26 and will also attend the convocation of IIT Bhilai and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Memorial Health Science and Ayush University Nava Raipur.
