In a significant move towards de-escalation, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar recently met his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, during the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. However, India has underscored that meaningful progress depends on resolving border tensions- a stance China appears hesitant to prioritize.
