2 January (H.S.): A possible calamity loomed over the Haridwar railway line in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur district where authorities detected a massive shard of metal on the track near Tapri.
The massive piece of metal led railway authorities and security police to act quickly, stopping the Anand Vihar-Kotdwar Express to avoid a disaster. Train service was eventually restored smoothly once the impediment was safely removed.
A thorough investigation is currently underway, with the Railway Protection Force in Shamli charged with investigating the event, which is considering a it as a sabotage plot. Authorities have warned that anybody found accountable will face serious consequences.
