Mahakumbh Nagar, 14 January (H.S.): On the auspicious occasion of Maha Kumbh, a wonderful sight of faith and divinity is being seen on the banks of Triveni-Sangam. On one hand the saints and sages of the Akhara are taking bath in their unique style, while on the other hand thousands of devotees were seen taking a holy dip in the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and invisible Saraswati. Elderly women and children, everyone is taking a dip with the chanting of Ganga Maiya.
According to the information received from the fair administration, about 1.5 crore people had taken a dip in the Sangam by 10 am. According to the information received from the fair administration, one crore people had taken a dip in the Sangam till 8:30 am. After this, by 10:00 am this figure reached 1.5 crores.
The difference between night and day has been erased and devotees take a dip of faith. On this auspicious occasion of Mahakumbh, there is no difference between night and day. There was movement of devotees throughout the night. On the banks of Sangam, bustling with activity, every person seemed engrossed in imbibing his or her share of faith and divinity. Amazing unity is visible amidst the innumerable diversities of India. Devotees from every corner of the country with their traditions, languages and costumes have reached the Sangam with only one purpose and that is to take a holy bath and have a spiritual experience.
The confluence of saffron and tricolor in the unique event of Maha Kumbh has become a symbol of Indian culture and unity. While the saffron flag representing the Sanatan tradition on the banks of Sangam shows the depth of religion and faith, the tricolor symbolizing the unity and integrity of India was also seen waving proudly. On Tuesday, the Tricolor added a new dimension of pride to this divine event of Mahakumbh by becoming a part of the royal procession of many Akharas. This scene not only awakens religious and cultural sentiments, but also beautifully reflects the unity in diversity of India.
