Mahakumbh Nagar, 14 January (H.S.): With the commencement of MahaKumbh 2025, over 40 crore devotees are expected to gather in Prayagraj for this grand spiritual event. Occurring once every 12 years, MahaKumbh serves as a time for spiritual renewal where pilgrims congregate at the Sangam to cleanse their souls and karmas.
Highlighting the event’s significance, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated, “The MahaKumbh, the grandest celebration of Sanatana Dharma, will surpass all previous Kumbhs in size and grandeur.” Grounded in the scriptural belief that true spiritual growth also requires immersion in the Triveni of the Agya Chakra (the subtle seat of the pineal gland), Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan (DJJS), an international spiritual organization led by Divya Guru Ashutosh Maharaj, has set up a 9-acre camp in Prayagraj. The camp will guide visitors towards self-purification and meditation through a variety of social and cultural events.
A Spiritual Experience for Millions: Swami Adityanand, President of DJJS, shared that the MahaKumbh 2025 is expected to attract 1.5 to 2 million visitors from India and abroad to the DJJS camp, located at Gangeshwar Bajrangdas Chauraha, Sector 9, near Amitabh Pulliya, Govindpur, Prayagraj.
Over 33 days (January 15 to February 16), the camp will host more than 150 events, including kathas, youth festivals, corporate workshops, Vedic mantra chanting, and yagyas, supported by over 20,000 dedicated volunteers. “The primary goal of this initiative is to inspire participants to discover the divine within through Brahm Gyan,” he added.
Comfortable and Secure Accommodation: The DJJS camp will offer various lodging options equipped with modern amenities such as attached washrooms, geysers, electric kettles, and pure vegetarian meal plans. Safety and security will be a priority, with ex-army personnel and volunteers ensuring 24/7 protection, particularly for women. Secure storage facilities for luggage will also be provided. A free langar prasad (community feast) will be available at the camp’s ann-kshetra hall.
A Fusion of Tradition and Technology: In alignment with the MahaKumbh 2025 theme, Bhavya, Divya, Digital Kumbh, DJJS will unveil a Techno-Traditional Kumbh, blending spirituality with digital innovation. The camp will feature a 60×40-foot mega stage, a 14×46-foot LED backdrop, various delay LEDs, and immersive 8K and 3D projections to enhance the experience. “The stage design and VFX will recreate the ambiance of the era specific to each performance,” shared Sadhvi Tapeshwari Bharti, DJJS spokesperson.
Eco-Conscious Camp Design: The DJJS camp is committed to sustainability. Using eco-friendly materials such as jute, straw, bamboo, mud, hogla grass, and palm leaves, the camp will be free of single-use plastics and PVC. Biodegradable alternatives will be used for cottages, boundary walls, and decorations, ensuring a green and eco-conscious experience.
Cultural Experiences for International Tourists: DJJS is catering to international visitors by offering multilingual spiritual counselling and events in English, facilitated by 1,000 Sanyaasi disciples from DJJS branches worldwide. “A large contingent of visitors from Singapore, Australia, the USA, and the UK will attend our camp,” shared Sadhvi Dr. Nidhi Bharti, another DJJS representative. For these visitors, DJJS will host Ram Katha, Devi Bhagwat Katha, Bhagwat Gita discourses, and health talks in English. Additionally, a VR experience will immerse visitors in Puranic stories and the spiritual significance of MahaKumbh, available in both English and Hindi. With its grand-scale initiatives, Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan aims to offer a transformative spiritual experience for devotees worldwide, making MahaKumbh 2025 a remarkable confluence of faith, technology, and tradition.
