For the privileged few, winter is an excuse to retreat into warm homes, snuggle into blankets, and enjoy hot beverages. But for thousands of homeless people in the city, this season is a relentless nightmare, exposing them to the mercy of bone-chilling temperatures and, worse, the indifference of the government that claims to work for the “common man.”
