Bhubaneswar, 16 January (H.S.): Lobhabati Parida, the mother of Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, passed away on Wednesday night at a private hospital in Cuttack, where she was receiving treatment. She was 89 years old.
A resident of Nuahaat Nibharana in Puri district, Lobhabati is survived by her five children, with Pravati being her third child.
Having been unwell for several days, Lobhabati’s condition worsened. Upon learning of her mother’s passing, Pravati promptly travelled to her village to pay her last respects and attend the last rites, which are scheduled to be held on Thursday in Nuahaat Nibharana village.
