Delhi, 17 January (H.S.): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday chaired a meeting in Delhi to review the implementation of three new criminal laws in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also attended the meeting held in North Block, Delhi. During the discussion, the Union Home Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, three new criminal laws are becoming the protector of civil rights and the basis of ‘ease of justice’.
The new laws are victim and citizen centric and they need to be implemented promptly with this spirit. In the meeting, the implementation and current status of various new provisions related to police, jail, court, prosecution and forensics in Madhya Pradesh was reviewed. Apart from Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, many senior officials of the Union Home Ministry and the state government were also present in this meeting.
