Prayagraj,18 January (H.S.): After taking a sacred bath at Triveni Sangam during the Mahakumbh Mela, defense minister Rajnath Singh prayed and conducted Ganga Aarti in Prayagraj. Sudhanshu Trivedi, a BJP MP, UP minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi and other party leaders were in attendance. After taking a bath in the Triveni Sangam, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh thanked Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the effective manner the Mahakumbh was held.
Today, after taking a dip in the Sangam, I felt quite satisfied. This festival celebrates Indian culture and spiritual experience through Sanatan Dharma, and it is based on an old Vedic astronomical occurrence. People of all castes and races from all over the country and the world come here with a sense of unity, he added.
Singh expressed his excitement on social media, adding, “Today, January 18th, I shall be in Prayagraj to participate in Mahakumbh 2025. The Mahakumbh is a celebration of India’s spiritual and cultural heritage.” UP minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi will accord grands welcome to Defense Minister on his arrival. He will accompany Rajnath Singh in Kumbh Mela events.
