Delhi, 22 January (H.S.): On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude towards the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao movement, which has successfully completed 10 years. He highlighted how the initiative has become a people-powered movement, with individuals from all walks of life participating and contributing towards the cause. The movement has focused on breaking gender barriers and biases, providing equal opportunities for the girl child to access education and achieve her dreams.
PM Modi also acknowledged the efforts of people and community organizations in improving historically low child *** ratios and creating awareness about gender equality. Stressing on the need to continue this movement, he emphasized the importance of protecting the rights of women and creating a society where daughters can thrive without any discrimination.
