London, January 24 (HS): Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) President Begum Khaleda Zia will be shifted from hospital to her son Tariq Rahman’s Kingston residence in London. Her personal physician said that veteran Begum Khaleda Zia will now be treated at Tariq Rahman’s house. Begum Khaleda is currently admitted in The London Clinic.
According to Bangladesh newspaper Dhaka Tribune, Begum Khaleda’s personal physician and BNP Standing Committee member Dr. AZM Zahid Hussain shared this information with reporters in front of The London Clinic at around 10:30 pm local time on Thursday. He said that Khaleda Zia may go to her son’s house on Friday night. Her treatment will continue at home under the supervision of Dr. Patrick Kennedy and Dr. Jennifer Cross.
He has prayed for Khaleda Zia’s recovery. Dr. Zahid said that if her health continues to improve at this rate, she can return to Bangladesh soon. However, Dr. Zahid clarified that no decision has been taken yet regarding liver transplant. Dhaka Tribune quoted sources as saying that considering Khaleda Zia’s age and physical condition, the possibility of liver transplant is currently low.
