On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at Hyderabad House in New Delhi. At the Hyderabad House, PM Modi extended a warm welcome to Prabowo Subianto. The two leaders greeted each other and shook hands before proceeding for meeting. Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal noted that the discussions between the two leaders will further bolster the relationship between India and Indonesia.
“Furthering ties with an important partner in India’s ‘Act East’ policy. PM @narendramodi extended a warm welcome to President @prabowo of Indonesia at the Hyderabad House. Discussions to further bolster India – Indonesia relationship lie ahead,” Jaiswal posted on X.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with NCC Cadets, NSS Volunteers, Tribal guests and Tableaux Artists who would be a part of the upcoming Republic Day parade at his residence at Lok Kalyan Marg. PM Narendra Modi engaged in an informal, freewheeling one-on-one interaction with the participants where he answered their questions.

During his interaction, PM Modi emphasized the significance of national unity and diversity, urging all participants to interact with people from different states to strengthen the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.
When asked about achieving success, PM Modi replied, “Never be scared of failure. There should be a spirit to learn from failure, whoever learns from failure achieves success.”
Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat on Saturday. He laid a wreath at Rajghat and signed the visitors book. Subianto was accompanied by Minister of State for External Affairs (MoS) Pabitra Margherita. In a post shared on X, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated, “A tribute to the lasting legacy of Bapu. Indonesia President @prabowo of Indonesia paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat today morning.”
Additionally, Prabowo Subianto is the Chief Guest for India’s 76th Republic Day celebrations. His visit marks his first State Visit to India since assuming office in October 2024.
