India has started grand celebration of the 76th Republic Day with the commencement of parade at Kartavya Path. President Droupadi Murmu praised the ‘One Nation, One Election’ Bills, highlighting their potential to ensure consistent governance and reduce financial strain. She also lauded the replacement of colonial-era criminal laws with new legislation that emphasizes justice over punishment. The President discussed India’s economic growth, inclusion efforts for SC, ST, and OBC communities, digital finance initiatives, and advancements in education, science, and space.
