New Delhi, 10 February (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave today for a four-day visit to France and America (10 to 13 February). Prime Minister Modi will chair an international conference on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in France with President Emmanuel Macron.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Mistry told in a recent press conference that in France, Prime Minister Modi and President Emmanuel Macron will also address the India-France CEO Forum. They will also discuss the format of individual and delegation level talks. Both the leaders will jointly inaugurate India’s newest Consulate General in Marseilles outside Paris. On the morning of 12 February, both the leaders will pay tribute to the Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the First World War.
According to Vikram Mistry, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on an official visit to America on 12 and 13 February. Mistry said that the invitation to Prime Minister Modi to visit the US, barely three weeks after the new administration took charge, reflects the importance of the India-US partnership.
