In a major crackdown on financial fraud, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Sukhvinder Singh Kharour and Dimple Kharour, alleged masterminds behind the ₹3,558 crore ‘cloud particle scam.’ The duo was detained at Delhi’s IGI Airport while attempting to flee the country.
Investigators revealed that Sukhvinder Singh Kharour, CEO of Vuenow Group, orchestrated the scam using a deceptive ‘sale and lease-back’ (SLB) model, siphoning investor funds into shell companies and personal luxuries. The ED has identified links to entities controlled by Dimple Kharour and seized ₹178.12 crore in assets.
A Jalandhar court has remanded them to ED custody as the probe continues.
