The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) office in Bhopal has been locked by its landlord, Vivek Gangalani, over non-payment of rent for three months and pending electricity bills. Gangalani also accused the party of unethical activities, including alcohol consumption and misconduct at the premises.
AAP’s Madhya Pradesh joint secretary, Ramakant Patel, cited financial difficulties for the delay in rent payment but denied knowledge of the exact dues. Meanwhile, BJP leaders criticized AAP, with spokesperson Narendra Saluja hinting that Congress could face a similar fate. Minister Vishwas Sarang accused AAP of financial mismanagement, contrasting their lavish Delhi offices with their struggles in Bhopal.
The state government has assured protection for the landlord if needed, while AAP’s leadership remains silent on the allegations.
