Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, criticized what he called “bullying tactics” on Saturday, a day after US President Donald Trump warned of military action against Iran.
“Some governments act like bullies,” Khamenei said, referring to Trump’s push for negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program. “Their goal is not to solve problems but to take control.”
On Friday, Trump revealed that he had sent a letter to Khamenei, urging Iran to negotiate or face possible military action. However, Khamenei dismissed such pressure, saying these countries make demands they know Iran won’t accept.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also said Tehran will not negotiate under “maximum pressure,” though he did not directly mention Trump’s letter.
