Tech billionaire Elon Musk has warned that Ukraine’s entire frontline would collapse if he turned off his Starlink satellite system. His statement comes as he strongly criticizes Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for continuing the war against Russia.
Musk’s Starlink system has been crucial for Ukraine, helping its army communicate after Russian attacks damaged traditional networks. Since 2022, Starlink has provided tens of thousands of communication devices to Ukraine.
In response to criticism on social media, Musk said, “I literally challenged Putin to one-on-one combat over Ukraine. My Starlink system is the backbone of the Ukrainian army.” He added that Ukraine will “inevitably lose” the war and called for peace.
Musk also accused Zelenskyy of pursuing a “forever war” and called him “evil.” He has opposed U.S. aid to Ukraine, saying it lacks accountability and an end goal.
Tensions between Ukraine and the U.S. increased after Donald Trump paused all military aid and intelligence sharing, weakening Kyiv’s defense. This move has boosted Russia’s position in the conflict.
Musk has also called for sanctions on top Ukrainian oligarchs, claiming they are key to ending the war. His remarks have sparked strong reactions online.
