In Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district, a fresh incident of violence has been reported where fruit vendors thrashed a group of devotees going to Maa Purnagiri Temple.
The argument that happened between the two groups over prices of the fruits, soon turned into violence. Videos also got viral on the internet of the incident.
A group of devotees travelling to Maa Purnagiri Temple in Uttarakhand’s Tanakpur, had stopped in Sambhal to buy some fruits when a discussion over the fruit prices escalated to violence between the devotees and the fruit vendors.
The Sambhal violence reached a point where the cops were called and the bullying still continued. Several people have been arrested and an investigation has been launched.
The devotees had got down from the bus and were buying fruits when an argument broke out between them and the fruit vendors over fruit prices.
The vendors chased the devotees on the road and then thrashed them with sticks. The videos of the violence have surfaced on the internet, which show fruit vendors beating the devotees, bikes fallen on the road, people trying to stop the brawl.
