In yet another shocking case of love jihad, a Hindu woman from Bihar was deceitfully trapped, assaulted, and forced to convert by a man named Shamsher Ansari in Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar district. Ansari, who cunningly introduced himself as a Hindu under the fake name “Tiger”, was arrested after the woman courageously approached the police.
Reports reveal that Ansari not only lured the woman into a fraudulent marriage but also subjected her to religious conversion, physical abuse, and even forced her to consume beef—an act deeply offensive to her religious beliefs. This incident is a grim reminder of the growing menace of love jihad where vulnerable Hindu women are systematically targeted and exploited.
The horrifying ordeal began nearly five years ago, when the victim, hailing from Jamui in Bihar, received a random call from Ansari posing as “Tiger.” What started as a mistaken call turned into a calculated trap. He frequently visited her in Bihar, built trust, and eventually convinced her to marry him. Months later, she discovered his real identity through his Aadhaar card. Upon confrontation, Ansari reportedly said, “Had I told you I was a Muslim, you would never have fallen into my trap,” chillingly exposing his true intent.
By then, the victim was already pregnant and felt trapped. But her suffering didn’t end there. She was continuously pressured to abandon her faith, wear a burqa, perform Islamic rituals, and when she resisted, she was assaulted and humiliated by being force-fed beef. Fearing for her life, she fled to her native village where she gave birth to their child.
Worse still, when she tried to seek help from local authorities, her complaints were ignored. She also alleged that Ansari threatened her with acid attacks and murder if she dared to speak out. Despite the threats, the brave woman approached Kushinagar SP Santosh Mishra and revealed the entire ordeal. The police finally registered an FIR and arrested Ansari.
The accused has been booked under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Sections 69, 191(2), 115(2), and 352. Authorities are also investigating whether more individuals were involved in this deliberate act of religious deception and abuse.
This disturbing case is not just an isolated incident—it underscores a pattern where Hindu women are being targeted, brainwashed, and broken under the guise of love. The time has come for strict and swift action to ensure such religiously motivated crimes are not allowed to flourish under the radar.
