Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X (Formerly Twitter) on Tuesday to express his admiration for singer Hariharan’s devotional song, ‘Sabne Tumhein Pukara Shree Ram Ji.’ The song’s release precedes the upcoming Pran Pratistha ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. PM Modi shared the song, stating in Hindi, “This Ram Bhajan, decorated with the wonderful tunes of Hariharan ji, is going to immerse everyone in the devotion of Lord Shri Ram. You too must enjoy this beautiful bhajan.”
Expressing his joy at receiving praise from PM Modi, Hariharan revealed that the song is around 20-25 years old. He expressed his surprise and happiness, stating, “I was really surprised that PM Modi wrote about this song, and the entire country is listening to it.” The singer also disclosed that he has received an invitation to attend the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024.
Preparations are in full swing for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ event, expected to draw dignitaries and ordinary people from various walks of life. Prime Minister Modi is set to preside over the ceremony, where the idol of Ram Lalla will be enthroned at the grand temple. The Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust has invited 4,000 saints for the ceremony, and Vedic rituals will commence on January 16, a week before the main event.
The main rituals of the Pran Pratishtha will be conducted by a priest from Varanasi, Lakshmi Kant Dixit. The birthplace of Lord Ram, Ayodhya holds immense spiritual, historical, and cultural significance. The trust has planned a 1008 Hundi Mahayagya, where thousands of devotees will be fed. Additionally, several tent cities are being erected in Ayodhya to accommodate the influx of thousands of devotees expected for the grand event during the Amrit Mahautsav from January 14 to 22.
