In a recent development on Thursday, Palestinian resistance fighters carried out successful operations against Israeli occupation forces in Khan Younis and Gaza City. The military wing of Hamas, known as al-Qassam Brigades, reported significant achievements, including the use of a thermobaric shell in Khan Younis that resulted in the death of five Israeli soldiers.
According to al-Qassam Brigades’ Military Media on Telegram, another group of fighters ambushed a large Israeli force consisting of 30 infantry troops in Bani Suheila. The fighters strategically detonated a pre-rigged building using explosive devices, luring the soldiers inside before completely destroying the building.
To the east of Khan Younis in the town of Aabsan, al-Qassam fighters targeted two Merkava tanks and a D-9 armored bulldozer using locally produced al-Yassin rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs). This highlights the resistance’s capability to confront and engage with Israeli military hardware.
In Gaza City, al-Qassam Brigades confirmed that its fighters confronted occupation forces to the east of the al-Tuffah neighborhood in the northern Gaza Strip. Additionally, resistance fighters engaged Israeli forces near the Eastern Cemetery in Jabalia, with a notable operation targeting 12 Israeli infantry troops, resulting in four soldiers being killed from point-blank range.
The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine’s (DFLP) National Resistance Brigades also played a significant role, engaging in fierce confrontations with occupation forces in the Baten al-Samin area in Khan Younis. The National Resistance fighters further confronted occupation forces in the northern Gaza Strip, near the al-Mukhabarat neighborhood, resulting in the death of several Israeli soldiers.
Despite the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Jabalia and other areas in the northern Gaza Strip, recent attacks have been reported in areas such as Jabalia and the al-Tuffah neighborhood. The resistance’s efforts have hindered the advances of Israeli forces in towns like Khuzaa in the southern Gaza Strip, where little to no progress has been made.
The Palestinian resistance continues to fend off Israeli occupation forces, showcasing their determination and ability to counter military actions. The recent operations underscore the challenges faced by Israeli forces in maintaining control and advancing in various areas of the Gaza Strip.
