David Seymour message “Jai Shree Ram…I want to congratulate everyone in India including PM Modi for his leadership that has made this construction (Ram Temple) possible after 500 years, ready to last another 1000 years. I wish PM Modi courage and wisdom as he helps over a billion people in India navigate the challenges of the world today. I hope that he will have strength and faith. I’d be delighted to visit the Ram Temple…”
As the city gets ready for the inauguration event, Ayodhya is anticipating over 100 private aircraft to land at the recently opened Maharshi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhyadham (MVIAA), and nearby airports. Operational since December 30th, 2023, MVIAA features eight bays capable of accommodating smaller and single-aisle aircraft. The influx of VIPs, celebrities, businesspeople, saints, and other notable guests is expected to exceed 8,000.
The inauguration ceremony is set to be presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been instrumental in making this long-anticipated construction a reality. The festivities are expected to showcase the rich cultural and religious heritage of Ayodhya, attracting a diverse array of attendees.
A highlight of the recent developments includes the unveiling of Lord Ram’s idol placed on the marble mandapa in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. Crafted from ‘shyamal’ (dark) stone, the 150 kg, 51-inch idol depicts the deity as a five-year-old boy standing on a lotus made of the same stone. Renowned Mysuru artist Arun Yogiraj sculpted the idol, which was ceremoniously brought to the temple on the night of January 17th amid the chanting of prayers.
As the world eagerly awaits the consecration ceremony, Ayodhya stands as a beacon of cultural and religious significance, ready to mark a historic moment in the construction of the Ram Mandir. The event is poised to leave an indelible mark, echoing Seymour’s sentiments of a celebration that will endure for generations to come.
