Shane Pryor was in prison because he was accused of a serious crime. Authorities issued a warning, saying he was considered ‘dangerous.’ He is awaiting trial for the murder of Tanya Harris. Pryor allegedly shot Harris on October 10, 2020, after asking her for sex. Witnesses saw him running away from the scene with another guy.
Pryor had been in custody since 2020, meaning he had been held by the authorities since that year. The incident involved him shooting a woman, and it happened after he approached her for sex. He was seen leaving the area with another person. The warning about Pryor being dangerous suggests that the authorities believe he poses a significant risk, and he’s facing serious charges related to the murder of Tanya Harris.
Pryor had submitted a lie about the other man being an adult with age between 25-30. Though having affirmed his advances to Harris for sex, he pinned the blame for the murder on the other male suspect. The latter, who was also captured on the CCTV, was eventually found out to be a 14 or 15-year-old. Pryor, himself, has been in prison since he was 14 years old.
Shane Pryor managed to escape on a Wednesday. He got away while he was being taken to the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania for treatment of a hand injury while under police custody.
