An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on the Richter scale on Saturday hit Pakistan near Faisalabad leading to a chaotic situation in the area. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) stated that the earthquake hit Pakistan at 4.13 pm on Saturday.
However, no reports of any loss of life or property has surfaced s- far from the neighbouring country.
As per the official information, during the earthquake which occurred at 4.13 pm, mild tremors were reported in some parts of Pakistan as the quake was reported to have a depth of 205 km. Reports suggest that so far no casualty or damage has been reported in the region due to the earthquake.LATEST
Following the tremors, the National Center for Seismology shared the information on social media X handle, saying, ‘Earthquake os Magnitude: 4.5, Occurred on 06-04-2024, 16:13:08 IST, Lat: 31.71 & Long: 72.27, Depth: 205 Km, Region: Pakistan’.
Earlier in the day, another earthquake of 3.8 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Jammu and Kashmir and Kishtwar region, while 2 days ago, an earthquake of 5.3 magnitude had hit Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh.
