Israel’s military has issued a stern warning to Iran following a recent onslaught of missile and drone attacks launched by the Islamic republic. The Israeli army stated that Iran will face consequences for its aggression, emphasizing that it will not allow such actions to go unanswered.
Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, a military spokesperson, delivered the message while displaying the remnants of intercepted missiles at the Julis military base. He underscored that Iran’s actions would not be overlooked, emphasizing Israel’s commitment to thwarting aggression in the region.
Highlighting the gravity of the situation, Hagari noted that while global attention often focuses on Iran’s nuclear ambitions, the Islamic republic is also escalating conventional threats. He warned of Iran’s intentions to encircle Israel with a “ring of fire,” indicating the seriousness of the threat posed by the recent attacks.
The assault, which took place from late Saturday to early Sunday, saw Iran unleash over 300 drones, missiles, and ballistic missiles targeting various locations in Israel.
Despite the large-scale attack, the damage inflicted was minimal, with only minor incidents reported, including at a military base in southern Israel.
The Israeli military’s response underscores the country’s determination to defend itself against external threats, particularly from Iran. As tensions persist in the region, Israel remains vigilant in safeguarding its sovereignty and security against any form of aggression.
