A fire broke out in a building housing Bharatiya workers in the city of Mangaf, southern Kuwait, on Wednesday. The incident resulted in the loss of 41 Indians lives and left over 50 people injured. The affected building, which served as accommodation for nearly 160 workers from a single company, became engulfed in flames during the early hours of the morning.

Expressing his condolences for the families who lost their loved ones, Dr S Jaishankar, Union Minister of External Affairs of Bharat, took to social media platform X to address the incident. He expressed deep shock upon learning about the fire that resulted in over 40 deaths and numerous hospitalizations.
Jaishankar confirmed that Ambassador (name) has been dispatched to visit and assess the situation firsthand while assuring that all necessary aid will be provided by the embassy.
The incident has sent shockwaves through both Bharat and Kuwait as they mourn those who lost their lives due to this unfortunate accident. Investigations are still ongoing regarding what caused this devastating fire outbreak.
