On Friday, Russian shelling killed at least four people and injured nine others in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region. The governor, Vadym Filashkin, shared this information on the Telegram messaging app.
In the town of Myrnohrad, two people lost their lives, and six others were hurt. The attack happened near an administrative building and a bus stop.
In another attack on a workplace in Kostiantynivka, two more civilians were killed, and three people were injured.
Photos from the scenes showed significant damage. Buildings had badly damaged facades, and a bus had shattered windows. A car was burnt and appeared to have been thrown aside by the blast.
The Donetsk region, partly occupied by Russian troops, often experiences shelling and airstrikes. Russia denies targeting civilians or civilian infrastructure, but many people have been killed since the invasion began.
