This devastating incident comes shortly after another tragic fire in Kuwait. In June, a fire at a labor accommodation in Mangaf claimed the lives of at least 45 Indians. The fire occurred on June 12 and resulted in the deaths of individuals from various Indian states, including Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Haryana, Punjab, and West Bengal. Among the deceased, 23 people were from Kerala.
The series of fire accidents has deeply impacted the Indian community in Kuwait. These incidents have highlighted the need for improved safety measures in residential and labor accommodations. The Indian Embassy is actively working with local authorities to address these concerns and ensure the safety of Indian nationals living and working in Kuwait.
In the wake of these tragedies, the Indian community in Kuwait has come together to offer support and solidarity. Various community organizations and volunteers are extending help to the affected families, providing emotional and logistical support during these trying times.
