Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a special visit to former US President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on Friday. The meeting, which took place at the upscale resort in Palm Beach, aimed to strengthen ties between the two leaders and potentially ease any past tensions.
Accompanied by his wife, Sara Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister shared a warm greeting with Trump upon arrival. In videos posted on social media by Netanyahu, Trump can be seen extending his arms and welcoming the couple with the words, “Now I’m honoured. Come on in.” The three leaders then posed for a photo together, with Trump smiling and giving a thumbs-up.

This meeting between Netanyahu and Trump comes at a significant time, as Netanyahu had also met with current US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris just a day earlier. Biden and Harris are key figures in the upcoming 2024 US presidential election, where Biden is running for re-election and Harris is also in the race.
Netanyahu’s visit to Trump was a noteworthy adjustment to his travel plans. The Israeli leader arrived in Palm Beach early on Friday to ensure the meeting could take place. This visit highlights the ongoing close relationship between Netanyahu and Trump, which was notably strong during Trump’s presidency.
The timing of these meetings reflects the importance of maintaining strong relationships with both major US political figures as Israel navigates its international diplomacy.
