Famous folk singer Sharda Sinha, known as ‘Bihar Kokila’, merged with the five elements. The 72-year-old Sharda Sinha died on Tuesday night at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. Sharda Sinha’s body was brought from New Delhi to her residence in Rajendra Nagar on Wednesday.

She was cremated with state honors at Gulabi Ghat in the capital of Bihar this morning. Her son Anshuman lit the funeral pyre. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met the family members and consoled them. Former Union Minister of State Ashwini Kumar Choubey, who came to pay tribute, said that he had a cordial relationship with Sharda Sinha for a long time. BJP leader Ram Kripal Yadav said that Sharda Sinha was the pride of the country. He said, ‘Today, due to her absence, there is a void in the music world.

From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bihar’s former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Samrat Chaudhary and the people of Singhama, her in-laws’ place in Begusarai, have condoled the death of Sharda Sinha. Chhath festival is not being celebrated in about 100 houses of Singhama village due to her death. BJP President JP Nadda will reach Patna this afternoon to pay tribute to folk singer Sharda Sinha.

From the airport, he will go directly to the State Guest House. From there, he is scheduled to go to the Chief Minister’s residence. For some time, he will participate in the Chhath ritual at the house of Legislative Councilor Anil Sharma. He will visit the Chhath Ghats on the banks of the Ganga in the capital with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. In the evening, he will go to Sharda Sinha’s residence in Rajendra Nagar and pay his tribute to her. After that, he will leave for Delhi.
