On the special occasion of Uttarakhand State Foundation Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that all villages with a population of 50 and above in the state will be connected by road by 2030

On the special occasion of Uttarakhand State Foundation Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that all villages with a population of 50 and above in the state will be connected by road by 2030. Dhami said, a comprehensive policy will be made by taking various departments together for effective prevention of road accidents.

Chief Minister Dhami made many important announcements in the program organized at the Police Line on Saturday on State Foundation Day.

  • The Chief Minister said that in case of roads and bridges getting washed away due to disaster in the state, valley bridges will be set up to immediately smoothen the traffic.
  • To ensure the overall development of women in the state, along with notifying the women policy as soon as possible, a specific ‘youth policy’ will also be made for the all-round development of the youth.
  • Similarly, to reward the players of Uttarakhand who will win medals in the upcoming National Games, an amount equal to the fixed amount will be provided by the state government additionally.
  • The Chief Minister said that for the purpose of ensuring the quality of roads, a special process will be made to determine the responsibility of contractors and engineers.
  • Action will be initiated to provide Chief Minister Mother-Child Incentive Assistance to women for the care of mother and child during delivery.

Dhami said that National Uttarakhandi Migrant Day will be organized every year in the month of November for the migrants living in other states of the country outside Uttarakhand. Similarly, International Uttarakhandi Migrant Day will be organized every year in the month of January for the migrant Uttarakhandis living abroad.

He added, ‘This will instill a sense of belongingness in the migrants when they come to their ancestral home away from home and village. Chief Minister Dhami congratulated India’s Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan, folk singer Pritam Bhartwan, Samaj Sudhakar and spiritual guru Mata Mangala, actor Hemant Pandey and Dr. Mahesh Kudiyal, who were awarded this year’s Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman Award.
