Doha, 01 January (HS): External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Wednesday met Qatar Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. Jaishankar said that during the meeting, Al Thani and he reviewed bilateral cooperation.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said in a post on the social networking site ‘X’, “It was a pleasure to meet Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in Doha today. My first diplomatic meeting in 2025. A useful review of our bilateral cooperation. Also a comprehensive discussion on recent regional and global developments.”
Earlier on 06 December, Jaishankar visited Qatar, where he participated in the 22nd edition of the Doha Forum. Speaking on a panel on ‘Conflict Resolution in a New Era’, the External Affairs Minister highlighted the impact of the ongoing conflicts in West Asia and Ukraine on regional shipping and trade. Also stressed the need for more and participatory diplomacy.
