Gaza Strip, January 31(HS): Under the ceasefire and hostage release agreement, the terrorist group Hamas on Thursday released two Israeli hostages and five Thai citizens who were captured on 07 October 2023. This was the third hostage-prisoner exchange under the agreement.
Hamas released two Israeli hostages Gadi Mozez (80) and Arbel Yehud (29) on Thursday afternoon, while earlier Israeli female soldier Agam Berger (20) was handed over to the Committee of the Red Cross in Jabalia in the north of the Palestinian territory. The three Israelis released today are members of the IDF surveillance military team.
During this, five Thai citizens were also released. The Thai nationals were identified as Thena Pongsak, Sathian Suwannakham, Sriouan Watchara, Sithao Bannawat and Rumnao Surasak.
The seven hostages released after the release of the female soldier were freed amid a long chaotic process in Khan Younis in southern Gaza. Gadi Mozez and Arbel Yehud and five Thai nationals were released on Thursday afternoon in an uncontrolled and dangerous manner outside the destroyed home of slain Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, amid hundreds of masked gunmen and furious crowds.
Let us tell you that Israel will release 110 prisoners, including 30 minors, in exchange for three civilians. The fourth exchange will take place on Saturday.
