On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the India Energy Week 2025, showcasing the significance of sustainable energy solutions for a better future. While giving his address, he focused on India’s commitment to clean energy, innovation and climate action. The event focused on bolstering growth through sustainable energy practices and global collaboration.
Ahead of co-chairing the AI Summit in Paris, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was welcomed with a hug by French President Emmanuel Macron at a welcome dinner. “The cold weather didn’t deter the Indian community from showing their affection this evening. The main aim of the summit are to provide access to independent, safe and reliable AI, develop AI that is environmentally friendly and to give surity about global governance of artificial intelligence that is both effective and inclusive. This meeting also aims to provide a window to review the progress on the 2047 Horizon Roadmap for India-France strategic partnership.
Situated in Marseille, PM Modi and French President Macron are set to inaugurate the newest Consulate General of India. Both of them would also visit the Mazargues War Cemetry to pay tribute to the Indian soldiers who made sacrifices during the World War 1. “Welcome to Paris, my friend @NarendraModi! Nice to meet you dear @VP Vance! Welcome to all our partners for the AI Action Summit. Let’s get to work!” posted President Macron earlier today.
The dignitaries aim to hold discussion on both the restricted and delegation formats and address the CEO’s forum as well. This visit will also be followed by an announcement of small modular reactor to boost the civil nuclear cooperaation. An India-France Triangular Development Cooperation initiative is also likely to be launched. The two countries will declare 2026 the India-France Innovation Year and launch a logo.
