Firmly rejecting Beijing’s “senseless” move to rename 30 places in Arunachal Pradesh, India on Tuesday said that assigning invented names does not alter the reality. The northeastern state “is, was, and will always be” an integral part of India, the Ministry of External Affairs stated. Extending support to its ally, the United States also expressed strong opposition to the Chinese government for advancing territorial claims by incursions or encroachments, military or civilian, across the Line of Actual Control.
