Jharkhand’s Tribal Lands Under Threat: Rising Concerns Over Demographic Shifts
In Jharkhand’s Santhal Pargana region, a troubling pattern has emerged, alarming both locals and authorities alike. The issue, widely discussed but rarely addressed, revolves around the growing instances of what has been termed “Love Jihad,” followed by “Land Jihad.” This phenomenon involves the deliberate targeting of local tribal women by men who, under the guise of love, lead them into marriages that eventually result in the usurpation of their lands. The situation is exacerbated by the infiltration of Bangladeshi nationals, who further complicate the region’s demographic landscape.
