Dr. Rajendra Prasad, born on December 3, 1884, in Siwan, Bihar, was India’s first President and a prominent leader of the independence movement. Known as ‘Rajendra Babu,’ he served as President of the Indian National Congress and Minister of Food and Agriculture in the 1946 interim government.
