KEY POINTS
- India hit terror camps in Pakistan with missiles
- Pakistan spread fake news in panic
- All Indian forces returned safely
In the early hours of May 7, India carried out a powerful and precise military operation named Operation Sindoor. This mission targeted terror camps located deep inside Pakistan-controlled territory, striking hard at groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen. These groups have long been involved in terrorist activities against India and have been given safe shelter and training inside Pakistan.
What Happened During the Operation?
According to official Indian sources, the air and missile strikes were launched simultaneously on three major terror hubs:
- Bahawalpur – the headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed
- Muridke – a base linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba
- Muzaffarabad – a known Hizbul Mujahideen hideout in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir
Using high-precision missile systems, Indian forces successfully destroyed several terrorist launch pads, training centers, and arms storage depots. These were reportedly being used to plan future attacks on Indian soil.
Importantly, no civilian targets were hit, and the strikes were carried out with surgical accuracy, showing India’s commitment to fighting terror while avoiding harm to innocent people.
Why This Strike Was Necessary
India has been facing the threat of cross-border terrorism for decades. Despite many warnings and international pressure, Pakistan has failed to dismantle the terror infrastructure on its land. On the contrary, many of these terror groups operate with the support of Pakistan’s ISI and military. The latest Indian strike was not an act of aggression but a pre-emptive move to protect its citizens from future attacks.
How Pakistan Responded: Lies and Fake News
Caught completely off guard and deeply embarrassed, the Pakistani government and military reacted with confusion and panic. Instead of accepting the damage caused by India’s operation, they began circulating fake news and misinformation through media channels and social media handles linked to the state.
In a video shared by several pro-Pakistan handles, it is being falsely claimed that the Pakistan Airforce has targeted Srinagar airbase#PIBFactCheck

False Claims Made by Pakistan
- Srinagar Airport Attack Claim:
Several Pakistani social media accounts and TV channels claimed that they had retaliated by striking Srinagar Airport in India. However, the video they shared was not from Srinagar, but from old sectarian clashes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan itself. The lie was quickly exposed by fact-checkers. - Capture of Indian Soldiers:
Pakistan’s Defence Minister initially claimed that three Indian soldiers had been captured. But within a few hours, he was forced to retract his statement after failing to produce any evidence. This backtracking further damaged Pakistan’s credibility. - Indian Soldiers Abandoning Posts:
The same Defence Minister later claimed that Indian troops were fleeing their posts. Yet again, he offered no proof, and Indian authorities confirmed that no such incident had taken place. - Downed Indian Jets – The Comedy of Numbers:
Prominent Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir started claiming that Pakistan had shot down 1 Indian fighter jet, then increased the number to 3, and eventually declared 6 jets downed — all without any visuals, proof, or official statements. His wild exaggerations became a topic of ridicule even within Pakistan. - Missile Strikes on Indian Soil:
Some Pakistani accounts went as far as claiming that 15 Indian locations had been hit by Pakistani missiles, and an Indian Army Brigade Headquarters was destroyed. Once again, no damage, proof, or even noise was reported from anywhere inside India, and these turned out to be complete fabrications.
Score is now six. One Indian Mig29 destroyed few moments ago. https://t.co/otMWfTvVzq

Operation Sindoor – A Strategic Success for India
While Pakistan was busy spreading lies, India remained calm and factual. The Indian defence ministry confirmed that Operation Sindoor was a complete success, and that every Indian soldier and pilot who participated in the operation was safe.
This operation not only weakened the terror infrastructure but also sent a strong message that India will not tolerate terrorism sponsored by Pakistan. The Indian military has shown that it has the capability, technology, and willpower to strike deep inside enemy territory when necessary.
Pakistan’s Global Embarrassment
This episode has once again exposed Pakistan before the international community. Instead of acting against terror groups within its borders, Pakistan continues to protect and fund them, and when attacked, it resorts to propaganda and misinformation.
Countries around the world are closely watching these developments. Many global powers have already warned Pakistan in the past to dismantle terror camps. Now, India’s action has shown that if the world remains silent, India will act in self-defence.
Operation Sindoor has once again highlighted India’s commitment to its national security, while showing how Pakistan continues to live in denial. Instead of taking action against terrorists, Pakistan tried to fool its own people with fake videos and false claims.
