‘Pink Rapido Scheme’ to Launch in Haryana, CM Nayab Singh Saini to Inaugurate on March 19
Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini has launched the Pink Rapido Scheme to promote women’s empowerment and economic self-reliance.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is continuously working towards women empowerment. The government has launched the Pink Rapido Scheme to make women economically self-reliant. Under this scheme, women in urban areas will be provided electric two-wheelers by the government, enabling them to transport passengers to their destinations. The scheme will create a new source of regular income for women.
Applications for the scheme were invited till March 13, 2026. The formal launch will take place on March 19 at a state-level event by CM Nayab Singh Saini.
In the first phase, the scheme will be implemented in six cities — Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Karnal, Panchkula and Sirsa. Selected women in these cities will operate two-wheeler services for short-distance travel. The objective is to include women in urban mobility services and provide them with income opportunities.
Priority will be given to women from Scheduled Caste (SC) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) communities in the selection process. The government aims to create employment opportunities for women from economically weaker sections.
Eligibility Criteria
Women applicants must be between 18 and 50 years of age. They should possess a valid two-wheeler driving license along with 1–2 years of driving experience. It is mandatory to be a resident of the same district. Interested applicants can contact the District Welfare Officer office for registration and further details.
The initiative is expected to make women self-reliant and provide safer mobility options for female passengers, strengthening urban transport services in the state.
